Our team of professionals want you to be the best photographers possible. Toward that end, join in on the LIVE monthly critique nights and have your work evaluated by the team. Critiques give you feedback to help you improve and grow your craft.
Members of ISAP/No Bones About It are invited to upload client work and/or competition images for critique. The team will take the time each month to discuss the submitted images, giving members their input on what works and what could be improved.
Competition images should be submitted as finished pieces, including the presentation and having the image titled appropriately. Client work does not need any specific title.
The critiques will be broadcast live online. You are welcome to chat with one another during the critiques to discuss the images, but all chat should be kept positive. We will not disclose the image maker publicly, but if the maker chooses, they may reveal themselves in the chat.
The Facebook Group is an active group where members are welcome to post questions and images for the other group members to discuss or give input on. The critique team will try to chime in and give feedback as much as possible, but we cannot guarantee we will be able to respond to all posts.
You must upload a straight-out-of-camera raw image as well as the same image edited in JPG format. We want to see where you started and what your vision is for your final image. We challenge you to get the exposure correct from the start and not rely on post-processing to correct it. Use post processing to take it to the next level!
Images for critique should be added to the Dropbox folder by 8am (central time) the morning of critiques. Everything in the folder at that time will be viewed at that evening's Critique Night. Please limit your entries to no more than 2 images per person. Add #1 and #2 to the title - if we have too many submissions we will only critique the first one. If you are submitting a competition image for critique, it should be finished, as if it's ready to go to judging. This includes a title and presentation (matte). Please add "Comp" to the title as well.
The critique panel will select one image to be the group cover photo for the next month. We will NOT select a competition image as this should stay anonymous for official judging.
Reach out with any questions! We're here for you.
